All-New Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe Priced From €49,052 In Germany

Just a few days after its online presentation, #Mercedes-Benz have opened the order books for the new E-Class Coupe.

Available from €41,220 ($43,059) plus tax, which means that it starts from €49,051.80 ($51,240) in Germany, the most affordable version is the E200 Coupe, which uses a 2.0-liter inline-four petrol engine that produces 184 PS (181 HP) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque.

In this guise, the sleek coupe takes 7.8 seconds to go from naught to 100 km/h (62 mph), tops out at 240 km/h (143 mph) and has an average consumption of 6.0 lt/100 km (39.2 mpg US) while emitting 136 g/km of CO2.

The only diesel offering at market launch is the E220d, with its 194 PS (191 HP) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) 2.0-liter unit, which shaves 0.4 seconds in the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint compared to the entry-level model, and allows it to go up to 242 km/h (150 mph). The average fuel consumption sits at 4.0 lt/100 km (58.81 mpg US) and the CO2 emissions are 106 g/km.

Powered by the same four-cylinder petrol lump as the most humble offering, the E300 has 245 PS (242 HP) and 370 Nm (273 lb-ft) of torque, which help it cover the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration in 6.4 seconds, before topping out at 250 km/h (155 mph). Consumption is rated at 6.4 lt/100 km (36.75 mpg US) and CO2 emissions at 147 g/km.

The current range-topper is the E400 4Matic, which carries a €64,807.40 ($67,699) starting price. It's powered by a 333 PS (328 HP) 3.0-liter V6 petrol engine and needs 5.3 seconds to go from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph); top speed is 250 km/h (155 mph). In the NEDC cycle, it returns 8.1 lt/100 km (29.04 mpg US) and emits 183 g/km of CO2.
