According to documents obtained by Auto Evolution, Alfa is planning to bring a new version of the Giulia to the United States. It's expected to pack the same 2.0-liter turbo four as the base model, but instead of just 280 horsepower, this one would produce a more prodigious 350 HP.
That would put it close to the middle of the gap between the existing base/Ti version and the flagship Quadrifoglio performance model. It'd also pack all-wheel drive – which is optional on base models and not available in the Quadrifoglio.
The increased output from the turbo four would also position the mid-range Giulia to take on a growing class of luxury performance sedans that slot in below their more extreme counterparts. So where the Quadrifoglo model competes with the likes of the BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG C63, the 350 HP version would go up against models like the Mercedes-AMG C43, Audi S4 and BMW 340i.
