For the 2017MY, the Soul has a new trim grading structure - 1, 2, 3, and Sport, with the latter benefiting from a 1.6-liter T-GDi, taken from the Cee'd GT and Pro_Cee'd GT, and rated at 201 horsepower.
Kicking off the range from £13,995 ($17,814) is the '1' flavor, which includes standard features such as air conditioning, electrically adjustable side mirrors, multi-function steering wheel, trip computer, keyless entry and tire pressure monitoring system.
Grade '2' starts from 16,750£ ($21,321) and adds 17-inch alloy wheels, instead of the 16-inch ones, automatic headlights, satin chrome interior door handles, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shifter, cruise control with speed limiter, rear privacy glass, rearview camera, rear parking sensors and automatic air-con.
Priced from 20,750£ ($26,413), the Soul '3' has 18-inch alloy wheels, chrome exterior door handles, front and rear parking sensors, push-button start, mood lighting, JBL audio system, 8-inch navigation and rain-sensing wipers. Finally, the Sport model introduces unique 18-inch wheels, larger front disc brakes, twin exhaust system, panoramic sunroof, LED fog lights, electrically adjustable front seats, High Beam Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Detection, among others. The range-topper carries a starting price of 23,250£ ($29,595).
Kia's compact MPV, the Carens, is offered in four trim levels - 1, 2, 3, and 4, and features a slightly modified exterior, and new 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels on all flavors. Standard features include LED DRLs, projection headlights with cornering lamps, leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear shifter, center console armrest, air-con, rear air ventilation, cruise control with speed limiter, Bluetooth with voice recognition and music streaming and remote central locking, from £18,995 ($24,179).
Head for the '2' models and your 2017 Carens will come with electrically folding side mirrors, dual-zone automatic air-con, 7-inch touchscreen with Kia Connected Services, TomTom navi, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, DAB radio, rearview camera and others. Prices for this model start from £20,395 ($25,961), and following it is the '3', which can be had from £24,300 ($30,932), adding 17-inch alloy wheels, electric driver's seat, heated front seats and steering wheel, de-icing front wipers, second-row sunblinds and leather upholstery.
Rounding up the family is the '4', priced from £26,290 ($33,465), which benefits from the same level of equipment as the 3 and adds the 8-inch touchscreen, LED readling lights, panoramic sunroof, premium vision instrument cluster, 8-speaker JBL audio system with amplifier and subwoofer, push-button start, and Parallel Park Assist with Front and Rear Parking Sensors.
