Both Shelby American as well as Ford Performance use Borla as their official exhaust supplier, which in turn has helped the latter develop an aggressive-sounding exhaust that uses the company's Acoustically Tuned Applied Kinetics (ATAK) mufflers.
The new stainless steel exhaust was designed specifically to retain use of Ford's selectable Driving Modes, while also retaining the factory exhaust tip/bezels to fit the stock rear valance.
Other features include the drone-free muffler design which is said to reduce driver fatigue on long journeys.
"Everybody at Borla takes enormous pride in our support of the entire Mustang program, which is why we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our first Mustang Shelby GT350 system. I’m always excited to add more systems to our product lines – especially for the Ford Mustang," said David Borla, the company's VP of sales & marketing. "Since the start, Borla has been committed to American manufactured cars, and we’re confident owners will enjoy the performance gains and incredible soundtrack that our American-made exhaust gives the Mustang Shelby GT350."
Still, if we could take just one thing away from the video below, it's that the GT350 sounds amazing even without the custom exhaust installation.
