However, that hasn’t kept the Czech-based automaker from dropping new images of the most popular nameplate in its range, accompanied by a short video that places its focus on -you guessed it, the headlights, and in case the changes aren’t visible enough, the company provides a short description too.
"The lines of the new Skoda Octavia have been further streamlined, especially at the front. The two adjacent headlights form the dual face with a crystalline look. On request, they shine in full-LED technology. The brand logo has gained even more presence, the front is more powerful, wider, and has more character."
Currently used on the Octavia Sedan and Combi body styles, and expected to be adopted by the Scout and RS too, the changes have also brought revisions to the infotainment systems, along with a new instrument cluster, heated steering wheel, customizable key with memory settings and folding tables for the rear passengers. The car also features an optimized parking assistant, Front Assist, Blind Spot Detection, and Rear Traffic Alert.
Customers will be able to place their orders for the updated Skoda Octavia by the end of this year and deliveries are expected to commence in early 2017.
