With just a few weeks before the year's end, the car company has announced one million sales completed by mid-November, a number achieved roughly one month earlier than 2015, which helps Skoda check 2016 as their third year in a row with seven-digit sales.
Topping the list is the Octavia, which accounted for more than 361,000 deliveries from January to October. Skoda has also shifted almost 115,000 examples of the Superb, up 85.2 percent compared to the same period last year. The Fabia and Rapid have also shown positive trends, as their deliveries increased by 6.7 percent and 7.0 percent, respectively.
For 2017, the brand has even bigger ambitions, as besides their first large SUV, the Kodiaq, whose deliveries will begin in February, it is also expected to announce "major revisions" for the Octavia.
"The current financial year shows that Skoda can sustainably tap into new customer segments with a modern model range on the international markets. We will also continue our growth course in 2017. The new Skoda Kodiaq is going to play an important role in this; the model will expand our range in the growing SUV segment", said Skoda's CEO, Bernhad Maier.
