Making sure that prospective buyers of the 2017 Up! have lots of #personalization options, #Volkswagen has launched it in no less than 63,180 potential combinations, so, theoretically, one might never come across another car that's exactly the same as his/her own.

This is possible thanks to the 13 exterior paint colors, seven of which are completely new to the tweaked car, joining the different finishes for the roof, side mirror caps, six side decals, a roof decal and several wheel patterns.

Just when you thought that this is where the Germans draw the line, opening the door brings up the possibility of even more personalization, starting with the seat upholstery, available in eight color combos, and ending with the nine different upper dashpad designs, among others, either standard or optional.

Kicking off the range of the 2017 Up!, with its revised bumpers and LED DRLs, is the Take Up! Variation, which starts from £8,995 and comes with the basic Composition infotainment system, driver's seat height adjustment, electric windows and remote central locking. The Move Up! sits on 15-inch alloy wheels and benefits from a touchscreen infotainment and Bluetooth, while the range-topping High Up! also includes a satellite navigation system and multi-function steering wheel.

Finally, the £20,780 electric e-Up! is based on the High Up! trim, to which it adds Car-Net app functionality and the ability to check the charge level and operate the air-con from your smartphone.
