Beast Of Green Hell Escapes Natural Habitat, Enters Berlin Streets

If you think cars that are made for the track look equally good within the confines of a concrete jungle, then this #Mercedes-AMG GT R will light your street on fire.

Soaked in AMG Green Hell Magno, this track-bred Mercedes supercar was spotted in Berlin recently by Autogespot user LuxurySpottings, and by the looks of it, it stands out like a lioness making a break for the nearest gazelle.

Once it gets moving, this 585 PS (577 HP) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) car can accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.6 seconds, before reaching its maximum speed of 318 km/h (198 mph). In other words, it will out-sprint the regular GT S by 0.2 seconds and eventually settle for being 8 km/h (5 mph) faster.

The GT R also looks a lot more aggressive compared to the GT S thanks to the AMG GT3 race car-inspired body kit and the new vertical slatted grille. It's also packing chunkier air intakes, a large rear wing, double rear diffuser and new lightweight 10-spoke 20" black wheels.

Unfortunately, one thing we can't experience just by looking at the pictures is the GT R's specially developed exhaust system which offers a genuine race car sound according to Mercedes-AMG. Luckily we know exactly what they mean by it.
