Baojun 510 Small SUV Is Aimed At Chinese Millennials

GM's latest offering for the Chinese car market comes in the shape of a small SUV, named Baojun 510.

Created by SAIC-GM-Wuling to meet the requirements of clients born in the 1980s and 1990s and officially presented at the 2016 Guangzhou Auto Show, it appears to be roughly of the same size as the Opel/Vauxhall Mokka X and Buick Encore.

GM doesn’t say whether it shares any parts with the aforementioned models, but it does describe its exterior using words like "bold" and "original", when referring to the large grille, slender headlights, and plastic cladding that emphasizes its off-road potential, along with the generous ground clearance.

Stepping inside reveals the premium materials used on the dashboard, seats and doors, such as leather and metallic trim, which are joined by a floating-style 8-inch infotainment screen, piano key-like buttons and features such as climate control, cruise control and a multi-function steering wheel.
