New Citroen C6 Costs Just Over $28,000 In China

If you took a closer look at this year's Beijing Auto Show, then you know that the resurrected #Citroen C6 cannot match the original model, which was canned four years ago. However, since the large luxury sedan has recently went on sale in China, the news couldn’t go by unreported.

According to CarNewsChina, the four-door has a price that ranges between 189,900 and 279,900 yuan, or $28,179-$41,533 in US currency, and, depending on the selected grade, one can enjoy a digital instrument panel, a large infotainment screen, Apple CarPlay compatibility, leather and wood trim, and other gizmos.

At over 5 meters in length and with a 2.9-meter wheelbase, the new Citroen C6 is actually a tad larger than the equivalent BMW 5-Series, but unlike the German executive car, it lacks a wide engine range. In fact, the French model is only offered with two powertrains - a 1.6-liter turbo with 167 horsepower and 245 Nm (181 lb-ft) of torque, and a 1.8-liter turbo, rated at 180 HP and 280 Nm (207 lb-ft) of torque.

The car is underpinned by the PSA EMP2 platform, just like its rebadged twin, the Fengshen A9, and the smaller Peugeot 308 Sedan, which will also be used on the DS9 sedan, set to be launched in late 2017.
