Alfa Romeo Giulia Station Wagon Allegedly Coming In 2017

As the new Giulia is (slowly) becoming available worldwide, the big wigs from FCA are already prepping a station wagon variant.

According to Autonews, which cites unnamed sources, Alfa Romeo will launch an estate version in Europe by next year in order to help boost the model’s sales.

Since its debut on the European market (in May 2016), the Giulia has gradually gained momentum, becoming the fourth best-selling midsize premium model in September, after the German trio of Mercedes, BMW and Audi.

It’s unknown whether the Giulia station wagon will make it stateside, but it’s clear that the car maker’s most important marketplace for that particular body style remains Europe, since estates account for 42 percent of sales in the midsize premium segment.

Cosmetically speaking, the model will most likely sport redesigned taillights, a new rear bumper and a slightly raised roofline. The rendering shows how a Quadrifoglio Verde would look like. We do hope the Italians launch such a version; the last time it happened was with the 156 GTA, and it was great.
