The German tuner’s treatment makes it lighter, angrier, and even more powerful. For instance, thanks to the optional AC Schnitzer chargecooler the power figure increased by 50 PS (49 hp), from 370 PS (365 hp) to 420 PS (414 hp).
The revamped exhaust system played its role in improving the vehicle’s performance, while a valve control unit and the new four Sport tailpipes provide a sonorous howl from the turbocharged inline-six, according to AC Schnitzer at least.
The tuned M2 also comes with a set of AC Schnitzer’s own, in-house developed RS coil-overs that allow the compression and rebound settings to be adjusted, lowering the car by 30–40 mm.
Visual wise, AC Schnitzer improved the vehicle’s looks by adding carbon fiber front wings, a carbon-fiber rear wing, as well as a diffuser and mirror covers. The icing on the cake are AC Schnitzer’s own forged alloys, which come in a wide variety in 19 or 20 inches.
