This blog recently had its 100,000th page view. I know many of these are internet crawling bots, but you (you reading this right now), you are a real person. So I say thank you to all for you real people for reading my scribbles.
I've published 632 entries (prior to this one) since starting this blog in 2009. I must admit that many of the posts are snippets from stories that interested me with little or no commentary from me. One of my most popular is my three year review of Nissan Leaf ownership. Nissan shared this one on their social media media channels.
In these 600 posts I've written about:
- My speculations about how autonomous vehicles will change the world
- My experience with the Oregon tax by the mile program
- About fuel cells and how Toyota and others are using the wrong method to introduce this technology
- How Tesla has spurred the entire industry to make daring moves that no large encumbered corporation is comfortable with while also launching a sea of copycat startups
- How, driven by our longer running mobile devices, batteries are on a compounding improvement course and this will bring affordable 200 (and eventually 300) mile EVs
- How solar panels on our home make more energy than our annual EV driving uses
- Gave you a guide to determine how many solar panels you'll need to power your own EV
- The psychology of people that "don't get" EVs
- The transition to plug-in transportation will happen, but it will be a slow transition. There are are a lot of cars on the road and they are not swapped out like the seasons fashion.
- One of my favorite posts was about innovate or die
- I've looked into the mind of Elon Musk
- 9 Reasons Oregon is Perfect for EVs
- A guide to workplace charging best practices
- I incorrectly predicted that Tesla would move to ultracapacitors
- About my adventures driving on the West Coast Electric Highway
Looking back, many of these subjects are due to be updated and I just might delete that one about the ultracapacitors.
