The Ferrari 488 Spider also has a glass electric rear window that can be adjusted regardless of whether the RHT is deployed or retracted. The 488 Spider has a spaceframe chassis made of 11 different aluminium alloys combined with other metals such as magnesium providing the same torsional rigidity and beam stiffness figures as the Coupé to improve chassis’ performance by 23% over its predecessor.
