Beneath the skin, unchanged technical regulations mean that many components are carried over from the current DTM C-Coupé. Some aerodynamic elements have to be identical, for instance, and the car is still built around a carbon fibre monocoque with an integrated steel roll cage.
Likewise, a normally-aspirated 4.0 litre V8 will continue to provide power. This engine delivers an output of 483 bhp (360 kW / 490 PS), which is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed sequential transmission. Peak torque meanwhile is 500 Nm (368 lb/ft).
A testing programme for the C 63 DTM is due to commence during the winter.
