Today we decide to compare two cars, two very good looking cars, so similar but also so different, the New Ford Mondeo 2015 and the New Audi A4 2015.
When for the first time we look at the new Ford Mondeo we are like: "ooh What? Is this the new mondeo or it is Aston Martin?". The boys from Ford has decided to make the New Mondeo to look like Aston Martin, of course this in not a bad thing the car just looks awesome from any angle of view.
Now a few word about the Audi A4. Hmm what we should say about the Audi, that it is a premium car, who also look good from every way. But we must to say that every model from Audi A4 to Audi A8 somehow it looks similar to each other. They need to make something different. For example when an Audi is approaching to me from let's say 100 meters i have now idea who that model is, it needs to come closer to me and than i will know for what model we are talking.
Price
As we were saying in our previous comparison when we were comparing Hyundai ix35, WV Tiguan and Mazda CX-5, the price is very important for a lot of new buyers. Here at this comparison you may guest which model is more expensive, that is the Audi A4. It is a lot more expensive than the new Mondeo.
Equipment
In this class of cars, all models from any brand have a lot of equipment. All different types of gadgets for easier and safer driving experience. The Xenon headlights with LED daytime-running lights and similar stuff are not coming with the basic equipped models only with the more expensive models.
Engines
What Audi says about their engines...
"Petrol FSI® direct-injection technology is a unique Audi innovation that was originally developed for the Le Mans 24-hour endurance race to deliver more power and torque, as well as enhanced fuel efficiency. Precisely the right amount of fuel and air are injected into the combustion chambers, enabling the engine to ‘breathe’ more easily. It results in reduced heat loss and increased output, with around a 15% reduction in fuel consumption and significantly lower exhaust emissions. We’ve also developed TFSI®, with either turbocharging or supercharging, which combines FSI® technology with forced induction – giving cars an extra injection of power."
Diesel: "We introduced TDI® to the roads in 1989, and since then, we’ve continuously refined it, including developing common-rail technology. Under this system, a series of piezo injectors use electrical charge to precisely control the amount of fuel injected into the engine. As well as reducing noise, this allows combustion to happen at a lower temperature, with less oxygen, which lowers emissions. "
What ford says about their engines:
Three EcoBoost petrol engine options use a combination of direct fuel injection and turbo-charging, to deliver outstanding levels of performance and economy:
• At 125PS, the revolutionary (and multi award-winning) three cylinder 1.0 litre EcoBoost gives you all the power you’d expect from a conventional 1.6 engine with around 25% better fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions
• The new 1.5 litre EcoBoost produces 160PS with fuel economy of 5.9 litres/100km
• The 2.0 litre EcoBoost delivers an impressive 240PS, while a specially tuned sound symposer lets you enjoy its distinctive engine note in the cabin, when you’re accelerating hard.
Prefer diesel? Then choose from a range comprising of a 1.5 TDCi (available Q2 2015) and a 2.0 TDCi. All incorporate the latest engine technology to improve power, torque and economy, while lowering emissions. The 2.0 TDCi offers three power outputs, peaking at an impressive 210PS with a twin-turbo (available Q2 2015), whilst still achieving excellent economy and low emissions.
