In one of our previous articles we had compared Opel Corsa and WV Polo, now we are making comparison of two fairly new cars of the same class, we compare the new Hyundai i20 with new Renault Clio ...

We will not discuss about the look of these two vehicles because both vehicles are beautiful in a special way. We like you, our dear reader to vote in the poll below to tell, which of these two cars you like more. If you buy a car of this class, what would you choose?

Now we will compare the most important things that are critical for most of the buyers.

• The price

For more of the buyers, the price known to be crucial in choosing a new car. In these two cars, the price difference is minimal. In most European countries the Hyundai i20 is cheaper. In UK the difference is only £300. Hyundai i20 is £10,695 and the Renault Clio is £10,995.

• Equipment

In both vehicles the level of equipment, even from the most basic models is quite high.  Equipment like: Stereo RDS Radio with MP3 Compatibility, Trip Computer, USB and Aux Connection etc... Air Conditioning is a part of the second level of equipment in the two cars.

• Safety 

Security is very important when buying a car, regardless of which class cars belongs. Here Hyundai i20 is better, with systems like: Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), 6 Airbags - Front, Front Seat Side & Curtain Airbags, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Impact Sensing Auto Door Unlocking, Perimeter Alarm, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) and a lot more cool stuff that increase safety on the road.

• Engine

Hyundai i20 - 1.2 75PS Petrol is little slower but more economical with Euro VI Euro Status, while Renault Clio 1.2 75PS is with Euro V engine. More about engines for these two cars when we will have change to drive them.
