Among the new scooters launched at this year’s EICMA show in Milan is the Downtown 350i from Taiwanese brand Kymco.
Billed as a sports tourer, the second-generation Downtown features a larger 320 cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled engine. It produces 29 bhp (22 kW / 30 PS) and comes mated to a more efficient continuously-variable transmission.
Refreshed styling complements the updated powertrain. Key changes include the introduction of LED running-light halos around the dual headlights, a bigger radiator intake and a distinctively tapered rear end that incorporates bold LED light clusters.
Sitting on a leather-covered seat, the 350i rider faces a revised dashboard that has a central LCD multi-function display, blue backlighting, a USB charging point and a glove box.
Also fitted as standard is the compact and lightweight Bosch 9.1M anti-lock system which acts on the front and rear disc brakes.
