KTM is adding a third bike to its electric-powered Freeride line-up. The new E-SM, which is a street-legal supermoto, joins the E-SX and E-XC.
It’s built around a steel frame and a 21 bhp (16 kW / 22 PS) water-cooled brushless electric motor. Energy is provided by a 360-cell lithium-ion battery pack that should offer around an hour’s worth of riding. Recharging to 80% capacity takes about 50 minutes.
As well as lights and a speedometer, the E-SM’s specification includes 17” wheels, sticky on-road tyres, a WP upside-down front fork and a WP PDS rear damper unit.
The Freeride E-SM costs €11,595 in the Eurozone, but a UK price has yet to be confirmed.
