Following the unveiling of the SL 400 earlier this week, Mercedes-Benz has confirmed a UK price and specification for its new roadster variant.
The decision has been taken to only offer the SL 400 Sport model here. That means the standard equipment list includes a boot lid spoiler, side skirts and redesigned bumpers. Sports suspension and 19” AMG five-spoke alloy wheels are also fitted.
Among the Sport’s interior features are brushed aluminium trim, AMG floor mats and a flat-bottom steering wheel with silver-coloured gearshift paddles attached.
As already revealed, power comes from a 3.0 litre, six-cylinder, twin-turbo engine. It produces 328 bhp (245 kW / 333 PS) with 480 Nm (354 lb/ft) of peak torque.
The SL 400 Sport costs £72,500 on the road, which is £2,535 more expensive than the previous SL 350 Sport. Deliveries begin in July.
