Following last year’s 1500 Black Express, Ram has introduced a Black appearance package for the 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty pick-ups.
It certainly lives up to the name, because just about everything on the exterior has a black finish. That includes the bumpers, emblems, taillight finishers, grille surround and 20” wheels.
Furthermore, virtually all of the body-side badges have been removed to add to the stealth look. Also part of the specification are halogen projector headlights, numerous LED lights, the ParkView rear camera system and ParkSense reversing sensors.
Available for the Big Horn, Lone Star and Laramie trim grades, buyers of the 2014 Heavy Duty Black package can specify either a Crew or Mega Cab and either rear- or four-wheel drive. Prices in the United States start from $42,140 plus a $1,195 destination charge.
