Following a fairly last-minute sponsorship deal with Telefónica Movistar, Yamaha Factory Racing has unveiled an updated colour scheme for its YZR-M1 MotoGP contenders.
The Spanish telecommunications company isn’t the only new name to appear on the bikes this year, as Fiat Professional and Eurasian Bank are also first-time team backers. Among the firms continuing their support are Monster Energy and Eneos.
One thing that remains unchanged is Yamaha’s rider line-up of Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi. The 2014 MotoGP season begins this weekend with the Grand Prix of Qatar, which takes place at the Losail circuit near Doha.
