Suzuki has announced that its Celerio is going to make an appearance at next month’s Geneva International Motor Show.
Effectively a replacement for the Alto, the new five-door A-segment contender has just been unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo. For the Indian market, where it’ll be marketed under the Maruti Suzuki brand, the 3,600 mm (11’ 10”) long Celerio is powered by a 998 cc, three-cylinder engine producing 67 bhp (50 kW / 68 PS).
Buyers there will have a choice of either a traditional five-speed manual gearbox or the EZ Drive automated transmission. Four trim grades are being offered, with the range-topping model featuring anti-lock brakes, twin front airbags, alloy wheels, electric windows front and rear, electrically-adjustable mirrors, keyless entry and Bluetooth connectivity.
Specifications for the European version have yet to be confirmed.
