Chevrolet has won both the 2014 North American Car of the Year and the North American Truck / Utility of the Year awards. The results, determined by a jury of 49 motoring journalists from Canada and the United States, were announced today at the North American International Auto Show.
In the car category the Corvette Stingray emerged victorious with 211 points. The outcome was fairly close, as the second-place Mazda 3 received 185. The remaining finalist, the Cadillac CTS, earned 94 points.
The Chevrolet Silverado meanwhile secured the truck and utility prize with a more definite margin. It attracted a total of 219 points, comfortably ahead of the Jeep Cherokee and Acura MDX which got 174 and 97 respectively.
