BMW has revealed a special authorities version of its C Evolution.
Created to offer an indication of how the electric scooter could be adapted for law enforcement duties, it’s designed primarily for deployment in urban areas.
Various pieces of extra equipment have been fitted including front crash bars, a suite of warning lights, reflective markings and a rear message board. The motor and battery pack are unchanged though, which means an electronically-limited top speed of 75 mph (120 km/h) and a predicted range of 62 miles (100 kilometres).
Its first public appearance will be at this month’s Milipol show in Paris. The event is also going to see two other BMW motorcycles, the F 700 GS and F 800 GT, make their debuts in police form.
