Next year’s Dakar Rally will once again see Honda’s Team HRC competing in the motorcycle category with the CRF450 Rally.
While the bike is largely unchanged, experience gained during 2013’s event has resulted in modified aerodynamics and tweaks to the fuel-injected engine’s output. Attention has also been paid to improving durability and making maintenance easier.
The 2014 Dakar Rally begins in Rosario, Argentina on the 5th of January. The route then briefly enters Bolivia before eventually finishing in Valparaiso, Chile on the 18th of January.
But before that the updated CRF450 Rally will be tested in a competitive environment, as five examples are due to participate in the 2013 Morocco Rally later this month.
