Hyundai and component supplier EGR Group are set to unveil a one-off Veloster Turbo at November’s Speciality Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show, which takes place in Las Vegas.
Named the ‘Yellowcake’ Night Racer after its bright custom paintjob, the car has been designed to compete in night-time time attack events.
Exterior modifications include the fitment of DPE three-piece racing wheels shod with Toyo Proxes R888 semi-slick tyres, widened wheel arches, a front splitter and a roof-mounted Wurton LED light bar.
To go with the aggressive look, power from the Veloster’s 1.6 litre four-cylinder engine has been increased to 250 bhp (186 kW / 253 PS) courtesy of Bisimoto Engineering. Completing the package are an ARK coil-over suspension set-up, upgraded Brembo brakes, a full roll cage and Takata racing seats and harnesses.
