Following the unveiling of the all-new Mazda 3 hatchback last month, the first images of the four-door saloon version have been released.
Termed the ‘fastback’ by Mazda, the addition of a separate boot has increased the car’s length by 120 mm (about 5 inches) to 4,580 mm (a tad over 15 feet). The result is a total luggage capacity of 419 litres and, as with the hatchback, the fastback’s rear seats can be folded almost flat to accommodate larger loads.
Prices have yet to be announced, but sales of both body styles are due to begin this autumn.
