Peugeot has unveiled the 2008, a new small crossover that’ll be making its debut at March’s Geneva Motor Show.
At 4.16 metres long, the 2008 will be up against some very capable competitors. They include the Nissan Juke, Škoda Yeti and Mini Countryman, as well as the newly-launched Vauxhall / Opel Mokka and the keenly-priced Dacia Duster.
However, unlike its rivals, the 2008 won’t be available with all-wheel drive. Whether that’s actually a hindrance in this sector is debateable, as for many buyers the quasi off-road looks will be enough.
Not many technical details have been released, but the engine line-up is expected to be very similar to that offered in the 208 supermini.
UK deliveries of the Peugeot 2008 are due to begin towards the end of this summer.
