The Cadillac ATS has been declared the 2013 North American Car of the Year.
A jury of 49 journalists from across Canada and the United States gave the ATS 207 points, making it a clear winner. The other two finalists, the Honda Accord and the Ford Fusion, earned 159 and 124 points respectively.
Although this year saw the Truck of the Year award renamed Truck / Utility of the Year, in the end a pick-up defeated a pair of crossovers.
The Ram 1500 secured the accolade with a total of 261 points, well ahead of the Mazda CX-5 (142 points) and the Ford C-Max (87 points).
