Nissan is introducing the Visia, a more affordable entry-level version of its Navara double-cab pick-up.
Aimed at business users and the fleet market, prices start at £17,995 (excluding VAT), a saving of over £1,400 compared to the existing Acenta trim grade.
The Visia misses out on some cosmetic specification, but arguably the lack of chrome trim gives it a classier look. And it’s not as if the equipment list is totally bereft, because Bluetooth connectivity, six airbags, 17” alloy wheels, air conditioning and an electronic stability system all come as standard.
Power is provided by the familiar 2.5 litre, four-cylinder diesel engine, although potential operators will need to be aware that it has been de-tuned for the Visia: output is down from the usual 187 bhp (140 kW / 190 PS) to 142 bhp (105 kW / 144 PS), while torque drops by 100 Nm (73 lb/ft) to 350 Nm (258 lb/ft). Nevertheless, part-time all-wheel drive and low and high gear ratio modes still feature.
Deliveries of the Navara Visia are due to commence next month.
