Lotus has launched the Evora Sports Racer, which has been designed to combine a plethora of equipment with an attractive price tag.
It certainly seems that just about all of the options on the list have been ticked. Fitted as standard are powered folding door mirrors, a reversing camera and 2+2 seating that’s covered in black leather with red piping and stitching.
Also part of the specification is the Tech Pack, which adds Bluetooth connectivity, an upgraded touchscreen-controlled audio system and DVD player, rear parking sensors, cruise control and tyre pressure monitoring. Furthermore the Sports Pack is included too, and it consists of cross-drilled brake discs, a sports rear diffuser and a sports driving mode that sharpens both the Dynamic Performance Management system and the throttle response.
Available in a choice of four colours, the Sports Racer features a contrasting gloss black finish for the wheels, roof panel, side sills, front splitter and rear diffuser.
In the UK, the 276 bhp (206 kW / 280 PS) normally-aspirated Evora Sports Racer costs £57,900 (excluding on the road charges), while in 345 bhp (257 kW / 350 PS) supercharged guise the price tag is £65,900. Compared to ordering everything separately, Lotus reckons that those amounts represent customer savings of £6,450 and £7,150 respectively.
