Volkswagen has confirmed that the Beetle Fender limited edition, which was first unveiled at the Leipzig International Auto Show earlier this year, is coming to the UK.
Available only with a 138 bhp (103 kW / 140 PS) 2.0 litre diesel engine, the specification includes 18” ‘Discus’ alloy wheels, some Fender badges, front and rear parking sensors, a rear spoiler, bi-xenon headlights and a 400 watt Fender audio system.
The sole paintwork option is Deep Pearl Black, while the interior features matching cloth seats with leather-look side bolsters plus a ‘Sunburst’ dashboard panel that replicates Fender’s guitars.
In the UK the Beetle Fender is priced at £23,015 with a manual gearbox, while the DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission version costs an extra £1,595. Dealers will be accepting orders from the 2nd of January.
