Suzuki has unveiled a limited edition version of its naked middleweight, the SFV650 Gladius.
Based on the ABS-equipped model, anyone expecting loads of extra kit is going to be disappointed. In fact, the only additional item is a special belly-pan.
But not that that really matters, because the highlight is a red, black and yellow paintjob, inspired by the successful RG500 that took Barry Sheene to a couple of World Championships in the 1970s.
For the UK, the price has been set at £6,399, which is a modest £300 more than usual.
The retro grand prix look certainly works well. Perhaps if customer reaction is good, Suzuki will be tempted to apply it to something a bit sportier next?
