Husaberg 2013 enduro range

KTM subsidiary Husaberg has revealed its updated enduro bike range.

The highlight is the arrival of the new FE 250, which is the firm’s first ever 250 cc four-stroke model. It’s joined by the re-launched FE 350 and FE 501, as well as a lighter FE 450.

Naturally, the two-stroke line-up continues too, and for 2013 it will comprise the TE 125, TE 250 and a more agile and more powerful TE 300.

Across the range, the steel frame has been reworked for enhanced torsional stiffness, although the longitudinal stiffness has actually been slightly decreased to aid rear-wheel bump absorption. The other major chassis development is that the two-stroke bikes now also use a fibreglass-reinforced polymide rear sub-frame.

The suspension has been upgraded as well, with the modified set-up featuring a longer rear damper and adjustable four-chamber closed-cartridge front forks, both of which are from WP.

Among the other improvements are a lighter swingarm, new aluminium silencers, various tweaks to the engine internals and a revised airbox design that optimises flow while allowing for quicker filter changes.
