An NCP car park in Shoreditch might seem an unlikely venue for an art show, but that’s the location chosen by the Institute of Contemporary Art for an exhibition of the BMW Art Car Collection.
Occupying six floors of the Great Eastern Street multi-storey, the display will comprise sixteen unique BMWs that have been used as canvases by a diverse collection of artists including David Hockney, Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.
‘Art Drive! The BMW Art Car Collection’ is part of the London 2012 Festival, which is itself the culmination of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad. The event runs from the 21st of July to the 4th of August, and admission is free.
