Making its debut at the Auto China 2012 motor show later this month will be a long wheelbase version of the BMW 3 Series saloon.
Developed specially for the Chinese market - where generous rear seat accommodation is a high priority for many buyers - it will compete against rivals such as the Audi A4L. Compared to the regular 3 Series, the long wheelbase model is stretched by 11 centimetres (just over four inches), with all of the extra length being apparent in the rear doors.
The range will consist of the 320Li, the 328Li and the 335Li, all of which are powered by TwinPower turbo petrol engines.
