Harley-Davidson has revealed the 1970s-inspired XL1200V Sportster Seventy-Two.
Defined by its stripped-down look, ape handlebars, whitewall tyres and chrome details, the new bike takes its name from Whittier Boulevard in East Los Angeles, which is also known as Route 72.
Power comes from the air-cooled 1,202 cc (73.3 cubic inch) Evolution engine that delivers its 96 Nm (73 lb/ft) of torque via a five-speed transmission.
With Black Denim or Big Blue Pearl paintwork, the Seventy-Two costs £8,695 in the UK ($10,499 in the United States). However, for a really authentic retro look, buyers should go for the Hard Candy Big Red Flake colour option that takes the price up to £8,895 ($11,199).
