Having appeared at various bike shows in concept form, the Yamaha XT1200Z Worldcrosser has now been confirmed for production.
Based on the existing Super Ténéré, the Worldcrosser version gets extra protection in the form of a drive-shaft shield, skid plate and rear brake protector, all of which are made from black anodised aluminium.
To help offset the weight of the new components, the fork protectors, frame guards and side panels are carbon fibre, while options for the graphics comprise either a black speedblock motif with yellow-gold accents or a red speedblock with red accents.
The UK retail price (which excludes road fund licence or first registration fee) for the Worldcrosser is £12,999. That’s a hefty £1,000 more than the regular Super Ténéré.
