The Fiat 500 has just added another honor to its impressive résumé of awards. This time it is Men's Journal Magazine's 'Gear of the Year' award. Every year, Men's Journal tests hundreds of new products, and then awards the finest, most innovative and game-changing products that fulfill the magazine's creed to "live the interesting life."
Tim Kuniskis, newly appointed Head of FIAT Brand North America issued a statement saying, “We’re extremely honored to win the ‘Gear of the Year’ award from Men’s Journal. The new Fiat 500 is truly distinctive and we will continue to expand the appeal of our Cinquecento, with the upcoming introduction of the Fiat 500 by Gucci, aimed at Italian style lovers, and the Fiat 500 Abarth, targeted towards Italian performance enthusiasts.”
The most awarded car
Fiat 500 is one of the most awarded cars in its class, having earned more than 15 US and 80 international Awards for design and performance. In addition to today's 'Gear of the Year' award, the Fiat 500 has won the following awards in the last few months:
• 2012 FIAT 500 was named a Consumers Digest "Best Buy"
• "2011 Top 10 Coolest New Car Under $18,000"¹ by Kelley Blue Book's kbb.com
• "Best Value" and "New Design" accolades from the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA)
