Rick Hartbrodt from HotFIAT recently installed Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs on his 2012 Fiat 500 Prima Edizione. The Eibach Pro-Kit for the Fiat 500 lowers the car approximately 1.0″ – 1.2″ and really improves the appearance of the Fiat 500, especially if the car has 17 inch or larger wheels. For those, like me, who are curious about lowering their car, I asked Rick to send us his take on the kit:

As promised here are some shots of my Fiat 500 Prima Edizione with newly mounted Eibach Pros along with some shots of it back on the road.
I took 3/4" off of the bump stops on the rear only
My observations after a couple of days:
The ride is surprisingly good. I put off putting it down because I didn't want to lose "the ride". I should have done this long ago. I was worried for nothing. The only noticeable difference is when you hit a speed bump or a sharp short dip. You can feel it bottom out but I'm talking about a pretty hefty bump.
No rubbing thus far. The car looks far far better without that gap above the tire.
Gas mileage went up 57%. Kidding.
