Once the kit is installed, the 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder unit now makes 335 HP and 390 lb-ft (529 Nm) of torque instead of the standard 310 HP and 320 lb-ft (434 Nm) of torque, with the upgrade pack being similar to the one introduced by the Michigan-based giant on the GT earlier this year.
More importantly Ford Performance's new upgrade, which consists mainly of an ECU tune, increases the output by 100hp at 6,000 rpm. The kit is available for the 2015 and newer Mustang EcoBoost models, suiting both the manual and automatic gearbox versions.
And that's not all, because the automaker states that the kits, which can be bought from the brand's performance parts website, or through selected dealers, are 50-state-compliant and do not affect the factory warranty.
"Ford Performance Parts is a key part of our product strategy. Mustang is all about performance, and we know our customers look to us for performance options that are both 50-state-compliant and warranty-friendly", said the Ford Performance Parts Manager, Doug White.
